Other notable successes:

John Kassab runner up in sound design for the “DistanceBetween” in the Desktop Create Awards for Multimedia.

Matt Wood cinematographer award for film at Tropfest FilmFestival

Jack Hutchings editor for feature “Last Ride”

Jessica Moran makeup assistant on feature “Red Hill”

John Evagora has been given a $100,000 Government grant forscript development.

 

In addition Yen Nguyen has opened a brand new custom-builtproduction studio “UB Group” in North Sunshine and is employing currentstudents in his busy production schedule as crew and camera operators.

Registration Day & Deferment 2010

If you have been offered a place in the Screen & Media courses at Footscray City Films can you please advise Cleo Constantinou by calling or texting on 0409538158, leaving your name & contact details, of your intention to take up the offer within a week of having received the offer letter.

Deferments are offered for one year only and must be put in writing. Students deferring should only attend on Registration day if they wish to discuss their deferment. 

 
Welcome to Footscray City Films at Footscray City College

 

Footscray City Films is an Independent Tertiary Institution providing courses which vary from one to three years and are based on Industry Training Packages in Certificate 1V, Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Screen.

Students are provided with hands on tuition in Short Film Production on up to 20 films per year, on 16mm and Super 16mm, Super 8, DV Cam and High Definition Digital equipment – taking them from the concept to marketing of their films.

 First Semester involves a one-week Location Film Camp at Somers, where every student shoots their own film. This represents world’s best practice. There are Industry links and attachments.

Footscray City Films at Footscray City College is recommended as a tertiary preparation course provider by the Victorian College of the Arts Film and Television School as well as direct application into the Film and Television Industry.
