STEP 1.

Complete an application through VTAC.

STEP 2. 

Applicants also need to complete an application form from Footscray City Films either by contacting the Film School directly on 8387 1511, Filling out the Supplementary Application Form on the website, or you may download the Form then post  to Footscray City Films, Footscray City College, Kinnear Street Footscray VIC 3011

The selection process is based on an application through VTAC plus a returned application form from Footscray City Films to qualify for an interview, which is based on your folio. Without a returned application form from Footscray City Films you cannot qualify for an interview.Once you have completed the form, post it to:

You will be contacted via phone to arrange a suitable time for your interview if your application is successful.

STEP 3.

The interview process gives you an opportunity to explain why you would be a suitable candidate for the course you are applying for. At the interview you will be asked to present a folio of work, which you have produced, written, directed, shot and edited. If you are applying for credit transfer or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) you will be required to supply academic transcripts or evidence of documents, to support your claims.

STEP 4.

If you are successful in gaining a placement into the course you will be sent a letter of offer from VTAC either in the early offer round or the main offer round as well as a letter of offer from Footscray City Films.

Once you have received these letters you will be sent a letter explaining the dates for enrolment, the materials charges for the year with information about payment, together with an outline of the course. On registration day you will be required to complete registration for enrolment, you will also be issued with information regarding the refund policy and grievance procedures as well as completing a questionnaire. As a minimum requirement you will need to pay a deposit of $2000.00 to ensure your placement in the course. You will also be issued with a timetable with dates and times that the course will commence. A student card will be issued the following week.All forms are also available on the website.
